HI, I’M LAURA!

Many years ago, I turned my passion for black & white film photography into a career and love what I do every day. It all started in high school when I was gifted my dad’s old film camera. To view the world in black and white gave a whole new perspective and allowed me to focus on motion, light and emotion. I would then pop on my headphones and develop in the darkroom after school. It’s a meditative journey and I have kept it up to this day.

Most of my photography was in digital e-commerce until I shot my first wedding. Although digitally shot, I instantly felt the same feeling that black & white film photography provided. That’s when I knew I needed to change paths. It fills my heart to capture your love story, to be surrounded by happy humans and to see your beautiful life events unfold. The ability to preserve those memories for my clients is what keeps me going.

Born and raised - always a Jersey girl at heart but definitely have that California spirit

Random fact - I walk minimum 10,000 steps a day - I’ll never run out of steam during a shoot

A dream - to create a coffee table book of my black & white photography. Maybe some poetry, landscapes, self-portraits…
